Who We Are
A family-run general contracting and remodeling company.
R Twyns Construction has been building here since 2007. Tim Reynolds owns the company; Ben, his VP, runs the jobs. It is a family business with a crew that has worked together a long time, and one of them is on your project every day it is open.
The part that is hard to copy is the shop. Our cabinets and finish carpentry are built in house, to the room’s real dimensions, which is what an older San Jose or Santa Clara house needs when the walls lean and the floors run downhill. Most contractors order boxes and hope they fit.
We work on houses and on commercial spaces, and we will tell you plainly what a job takes before you commit to it. If a wall is carrying load, or the drain is on the wrong side of the slab, you hear that at the start rather than after demo.
What We Do
Nine things we do, and we do them all ourselves.
Design, permits, framing, cabinets and finish — carried by one crew from the first site walk to the final inspection.
Kitchen Remodeling
Most South Bay kitchens were built closed off. Opening that wall is usually the whole project.
Bathroom Remodeling
Gut the hall bath and make it work properly, or carve a second one out of a closet or the garage wall.
Home Additions
The lots behind these houses are deeper than people realize. That is where the extra bedroom goes.
ADU Construction
A separate unit out back, taken from the first site walk through the final inspection.
Custom Cabinets & Finish Carpentry
Built in our own shop to the room’s real dimensions. An odd width is a drawing change, not a special order.
Decks & Outdoor Living
Decks, patio covers, outdoor kitchens and the landscaping that ties the yard back to the house.

We Walk the House
We look at what is really there — the framing, the drain lines, the slab, the roof structure — before anybody talks about finishes.
A Real Scope and a Real Number
Drawings, the permit submittal and a written price. Where something is genuinely unknown until a wall is open, we say so instead of burying it.
We Build It
Same crew, dust contained, the schedule set with you before demo. The cabinets and trim come out of our own shop.
